Newly opened, the new Centre is the result of 6 years work between Gorseinon Town Council, Gorseinon Development Trust, the City and County of Swansea and the European Regional Development Fund.

The Centre provides a state of the art eco building and is being managed by the Gorseinon Development Trust and provides:

The Centre boasts 3 public meeting rooms and a conference facility for 150 people with all the latest information technology.

The facility involves the construction of an iconic building that includes a multi-pupose hall/conference room, training rooms, office space for small businesses, a creche and a healthy living juice bar/cafe.
The logo above has been designed for the new Centre and depicts the building's outline against the sky. Construction work is now well underway on the new landmark building and progress photographs, details of office space availability and other information on the Centre can be found by clicking the appropriate links on the left. |

Partners behind the Canolfan Gorseinon Centre gathered at the former Bryngwyn Steelworks site for a groundbreaking cermemony on 26 April 2007. Swansea Council, Persimmon Homes, The Welsh Assembly
Government and Gorseinon College are among the organisations involved in
the scheme.
WRW Construction Ltd are undertaking the construction phase and The
Gorseinon Development Trust, headed by Kelvin Jones, Trust Manager, will
be running the Centre upon completion. The project is being funded by the Welsh European Funding Office
(WEFO). The building was deisgned by Boyes Rees Architects and is due to be
completed in July 2008. |
